Toren Surik is the grandson of Meetra
Surik. Meetra was also known as The
Exile, and was stripped of her
connection to The Force for her
participation in the Mandolorian Wars,
alongside Revan and Malak, and the
resulting destruction of Malachor V.
Toren Surik was taken in at an early age
to begin training during the rebuilding
years of the Jedi order. Having
descended from a line of powerful Jedi,
he quickly developed a strong
connection to The Force. Having
developed a particularly strong affinity
for persuasion, he successfully
convinced many systems to join the
rebuilding Republic. Despite his
preference to settle things in diplomatic
fashion, he was also essential in quelling
several uprisings by rebellious factions
that attempted to subvert planetary
governments attempting to join the
Republic. His persuasive abilities,
combined with a mastery of defensive
Lightsaber techniques, have enabled
Toren to be one of the few Jedi ever to
exist that has not been forced to strike
down a living creature with his
Lightsaber.
