Rey - Costume is her main costume
from Ep. 7

This started out as a Halloween
costume I sewed to wear at Disney's
Halloween party. When I was there, I
had several little girls come up to me
and ask to have their pictures taken
with me. (which is not allowed per
the party's rules but I did it anyway!)
Seeing little girls dazzled by seeing
Rey ... I think that got me a little
more inspired!

I did more research and switched out
nearly everything I had built for
Halloween to get approved. New
boots, new tabards, new pants, new
arm wraps, etc. And though I kept
the shirt I heavily modified it, sewing
a new neckline and shoulder ridges
and dyeing it to make it work.

My pride in this costume is the staff,
which I made entirely out of parts
from Home Depot and Dollar Tree,
and includes everything from
flashlights to modem cable to rubber
chair feet to shot glasses!

I can't wait to make the next one!
