I loved Rey in The Force Awakens, and
after seeing the film, a few people
commented that I should make her
costume, so I did!

Undershirt:
Bamboo jersey knit, entirely hand-stitched
for authentic representation of the stitches
seen (side and shoulder seams were done
with blanket stitch). Neckline is bound
henley-style with placket.
Dyed with a light rinse of taupe dye.

Wrap:
Silk viscose blend, gathered at the
shoulders and held in place with snaps at
the shoulder. Edges finished with machine-
done zigzag, to help prevent fraying.

Pants:
Stonewashed silk crepe. Dyed grey with a
hint of taupe. Cuffs are finished with two
strips each that wrap around the outside of
each cuff several times and tie up with each
other. Ends are tucked under.

Belt:
Authentic leather, cut to size and shape to
fit me. Fastens with D-ring buckles, has
aged hemp twine detail.

Bag:
British '37 Pattern Signal Satchel, modified
and shortened to replicate Rey's bag. Alice
clip detail stitched in place.

Arm wraps:
Stretch medical bandages, with weathering
detail along edges.

Bracer:
Leather in 2 colours, stitched together into
a single strip and threaded back along
itself.

Boots:
Pozu's Piper V in Dark Brown

Staff:
Pieces were 3D printed, then slotted onto
an an aluminium core which had been
scaled to my height. Pieces were weathered
with a combination of spraypaints, enamel,
and acrylics. Staff strap is made of 2
screen-accurate Enfield rifle slings spliced
together with lobster clasps attached in
order to clip on to the staff's leather straps.

Hair:
My real hair, pulled back into the 3 buns.
