Event Description: it is an annual non-profit event for the local community where they are able to ride a tethered hot air balloon, and get up close to these huge balloons as they fill up with air and, weather permitting, take off and land. In the past, we have had Star Wars characters attend and they are always a hit for the children.

This is about 15 minutes out from me, so I could potentially offer a couch to someone from out of the area who wanted to go but is leery of the early start time.

Civilian Hera for certain; Season 1 Hera if I get her upgrades finished in time!

Hi Donald,

Thanks for joining us! The gates open at 4:00 am but you do not need to be there at that time, however parking and traffic get difficult after 5AM. I also recommend getting to the event intime to watch the glow show (~5:00 AM). If you can be prepared for around 6:00 am that would be great. National anthem will be sung around 6:15-6:30 to kick off the main launch. In the past the group has gone up to take photos with the crowd by the stage. Darth vader will inflate for the start of the main launch and will hang around for photos and take off during the second wave of balloons.

You will be parking for free in the south lot of windsor high school. I recommend taking the "alternate" route listed on our directions page: http://www.schabc.org/directions/ Just identify your group and there should be volunteers there to give you a parking pass. You will walk up to the south gate through the high school. If you have heavy equipment and don't want to make the few hundred yard walk you may be able to try to do a drop off at the south gate. Do note the north entrance to the school is paid parking as a fundraiser by the school, so them letting you through is up to them.

We are happy to provide admission tickets to any support crew or family/friends who would also like to attend the festival. Please provide the number of tickets, I have sent you 2 for the costumers you listed to ensure they get in with no problem.
You will proceed up the path toward the large tent, on the side we have a seperate 10x20 tent with sides for your use. There will be some 501st joining you. The large tent will have food and drinks for you. You can get wristbands at the volunteer check in for access, if you need to cut them off for costume time we can get you more after. You are also welcome to champagne and beer at the SCHABC Mimosa tent.

How long you stay out and where you go at the event is up to you. Your main point of contact is Ted Ritchie, 949-278-1833
