I started building what I think is the main Han costume from Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Here is what I have done so far (please forgive the bad lighting):

I have the boots, the shirt, the pants, the black belt, the gun belt and a wig (that I am not wearing in the picture). I am currently working on patterning out the jacket that I will be making out of some fake suede I found at Joanns for $4 a yard. I also have to make the greeblies, cut/restyle the wig, possibly completely remake the gun belt because it is too dark and may be a bit different.

Here is a comparison of the wig that I tried restyling:

It's too long, so I'm going to have to straighten it out, cut it and, style it again.

Tonight I am going to start writing up a small tutorial on how I constructed the shirt because I have heard some people have been having a hard time figuring it out. I will probably post it in the morning.

You seem to be, so far, the only person who did this new style of shirt bib—which I think is correct. Did you figure out the modification yourself?

Sorry for not responding for so long. Sometime life gets in the way...

I posted the tutorial on how I made the shirt a little while ago and it can be found here in the fringe tutorials section of the forums.

@kman: I made the pants myself. I made a pattern based on some slim fit jeans I had. I found the denim at Joanns. I later realized they weren't dark enough and quickly dipped them in a black dye bath to get them to what I think is the right shade.

I cut long strips of denim for the blood stripes. As for those, I attached this red brick vynil which was cut out into stipes by vynil cutter a friend of mine has. I then did some light weathering with black and brown acrylic paint. Here is a picture of the weathering in progress:

@Sonfield: I made the shirt and pants from scratch. The belt was a cheap one I ordered online. I am in the middle of scratch building a more accurate one right now.

@ARChapman: I got the wig at Outfitters Wigs in Hollywood.

@LastMaxStanding: Yes, I figured out the patterning of it all by myself. But now you don't need to with the tutorial I posted Smile

I just finished re-modifying the back of my jacket to have it as accurate as I can based off the toy (because there are no good references out yet of the back other than the toy).

I made the jacket completely myself out of faux suede, and some black lining fabric I found in the LA fashion district. Here are some pictures of it:

Please ignore the bad colors. I took these in crappy lighting in my apartment.

@Caden_Horn, my boots are Vintage Soviet Russian Chrome Officer Riding Boots I got on Etsy. Specially from this seller:

https://www.etsy.com/shop/AntiguaHouse?ref=l2-shopheader-name

Note, it took a long time to get them because they were shipped from Europe.
