Hello everyone,
A long time ago i purchased a Kevin Weir SWTOR Kit from an already existing member, I never bothered to get it approved but I was quite pleased with it nonetheless.
Lately I've been rewatching some of the cinematic and I wasn't happy with the current paint job and some other minor things, So I decided to go for the full overhaul and get it approved at the same time.
Here is a nice "behind the scenes" picture showing off a bit more of the costume than you normally see on pictures due to the robes:
Things I want to change:
-Cut the neck off the undersuit or change the undersuit all together.
-Totally repaint it to be more realistic instead of the comic/VG look it has now. (Brighter more metallic green, replace the blue with silver, get rid of the hard black outlines)
-Replace all the cheap cloth pouches with leather/better cloth
- Add some buckles to some of the straps as seen in some reference material
- Cut out some slots in the arm pieces that are just large black areas atm
Optional: add an easy alien outfit for that extra touch, thinking Mirialan or something not to labor intensive for big events etc.
I do love this costume overall, it adds that nice extra touch to your avarage Jedi and pairs up nicely with my dad's 501st Approved Sith Acolyte.
I'm open to any feedback, especially from Costume Judges or other people who have this approved/are working on it.
Hope to hear from you all!
(P.S. since im slightly taller than the last person to wear this I'm a bit concerned the chest>cod gap is too large for approval can anyone confirm/deny cuz otherwise it's a wasted effort) _________________

I'm not an expert on KOTOR jedi, but I do hope the upgrades will go well. _________________ DXO of Royalty & Senatorial detachment

Wups, sorry bout the slow updates. Not much has happened yet. But i have been non-stop stop-framing both trailers in which this costume appears.
The blue definitly needs to be replaced with silver.
The "shirt" secion of the undersuit needs the neck cut off, a seem in the center and a detail around the abs area. I might just make a new one tbh.
For the belt box/pouches in considering getting cigarette tins and putting nice heavy cloth/leather on the outside for a bit more of a sturdy feel.
The repaint shouldnt be much of an issue as soon as i find a nice metallic green.
Still a bit worried about the size of the chestpiece but i can always attempt to hang it a bit lower after the neck from the undersuit is removed. It seems to hang quite low in the cinematics too.
Also bought me a kickass double blader saber <3 _________________

Sorry bout the lack of updates on this build.
The Zabrak horns came in a while ago.
Other than that the cold and lack of heated workspace has mostly hindered progress on this.
But the weather is getting better and I've contacted Mynocks Den who has done a beatiful job on a similar build for some tips on the paint job.
So expect a stream of updates with pictures soon! _________________

Finally got around to modifying the existing armor.
Cut out the excess ABS holding the centre oval.
And cut the arm slots which were just big black bars. (All hail the dremel for making this super ez. Just need to clean up the edges a bit but very happy with the result.
I also ordered a Waffle Pattern Thermo shirt for a more accurate undersuit! _________________

The waffle pattern undersuit came in today, very happy with the fabric and pattern but I might die it to tone down the redness a bit.

Started basecoating the armor with a new color of silver, very happy with the color and the "flaky" finish, i might remove it on the silver bits but itll look great once i start applying the green (once i find it).

Oki, unfortunately after yesterdays success with some of the parts. I found out that it only really covers properly if it is a single color underneath.
Some of the other pieces were pre-painted and all the old colors bleed through really bad. So I'm gonna find a new paint. But on the plus side. I will use this as a finish instead of an actual layer, since it has high bleedthrough I can find a normal green instead of metallic and then give it a thin coat of this. _________________

How do you guys feel about this green?
It's got that metal sheen i want but the color is hit and miss depending on the light conditions. Keep in mind weathering and the linework will darken it just a tad
In case people wonder which paint i used, It's motip metallic. I bought the middle one, so I feel like another coat might darken it a bit if neccesary.
Also, just realized i mispainted some of the parts on the top left and right... looks like a second coat is gonna happen regardless _________________
