I changed my plan. Since I am going to troop outside on Saturday May 5th, I first adjusted the jacket that I had bought online in winter.
Regarding that it was quite cheap and made in China, the quality is pretty okay, and they made it custom sized (which does not fit perfect but okay enough).

However, there were some details that I wanted to change:
- shorten the sleeves
- shorten the collar
- add top stitching on the collar
- remove the weird and cheap looking "greeblie" on the front
- add some vertical top stitching on the upper front

This is the jacket before I made adjustments:

This is the jacket with my adjustments mentioned above:

Here you can see the difference before and after adjustments:

I might make further adjustments in the future, but for now I am quite content with it and most of all: I am prepared for not-so-good weather.

Let's see if I am able to sew a basic new scarf made of curtain material for Saturday. I do have a scarf as an "emergency solution" back from december 2016 when I initially and quickly built a basic Jyn costume for the movie premiere. However, the fabric is too heavy and too dark.

Scarf - make a new one; I bought some cheap curtain (poly-cotton-blend) and died it darker
Jacket - main adjustments done
