Good job there.
Will helmet mods like this will be acceptable now for membership? I would surely want to do one too. Will the helmet be accepted in out of the box condition as Poe's character, and slightly modified only by improving the rods and a few greeblies?

Question about the "capacitor/resistor" greeblie : Is that part on the prop supposed to be flat like the toy? or supposed to be a round cylinder ?
Really interested in this project.

Hi all, saw this modification kit on the props sales sub-forum
http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89803

using the above to get the correct parts done, coupled with covering up the battery cover proper, any means it will look acceptable after proper conversion paint job and weather?

The stock of the helmet is very healthy in Asia, so want to land my hand on 2 and get my TFA pilot project started for wife and myself

Beware of the conversion kit at this point. The mic s cool, but not screen accurate that I can see. The cylindrical greeblie is nice, but the TLJ helmet has the rectangular greeblie.

The LCJs are still in the process of discussing the acceptance of the Poe Black Series helmets. We're debating whether or not they should be repainted/ converted before they would be allowed. Some of us feel that you should only have a Poe bucket if you're doing a Poe costume, but others disagree.

Regardless, helmets are optional elements and not required for acceptance. If you were to do a conversion and repaint it with a decent looking paint job, I wouldn't think there would be a reason why we wouldn't accept it. They're totally accurate and are better than most of I've seen out there right now.

I’m looking to start a TFA pilot and helmet wise everything seems so width washy that this helmet seemed like the best mod to do. You make mention that it is not required, say one gets approved, and decides to wear a helmet (and makes it look good like this example here) would that be an issue?

Is there any discernible difference? From a regular helmet?

Kashyyyk Base (Oregon) nearing the end of a Resistance Pilot group build. We’ve got 24 people doing costumes at the moment. I think 90% of us have purchased the BS Poe helmet and Adding a upgrade kit (3D printed) along with repainting them. I’ve got 4 in my garage as I write this that are primed and ready for new paint.

I don’t know how to post photos on the forums but if you send me a FB pm (Josh Beckett, profile pic of Chewbacca taking a selfie) then I’m happy to show what we are doing to these helmets.

Can someone please post instructions (or video) of how to break down and disassemble the Hasbro helmet for painting and upgrades? Thanks.
