Hi pilots,

I really need some help. I need to find some illustrated standards (pics of flight suits, illustrated measurements, front/side/back views with clean clear photos, step by step directions). I am working with a seemstress for an a-wing flight suit. I need to get her something that is better than the text descriptions.

I understand the standards are a slow moving process. If someone could make a temp illustrated standard photo blog with the lesser know flight suits (a, b, y, u-wing). I know many of us would be very happy.

I also have adobe creative suite (photoshop, illustrator, indesign) if someone needs to organize the images.

Thank you in advance

I don't mind doing these for the B-wing pilot suit, and I can try the ROTJ Y-wing suit as well. If someone wouldn't mind drawing a basic coverall design, that would be helpful, I'm not the best at that... Then I could draw the pockets and such onto that.

I could help make a stencil of all flight suits (A,B,Hoth,U, Y-wing).

If we have a blueprint of the flight suits. This could help with a lot of confusion with size and length of certain parts of the suit.

Please PM or email me for any questions.

That would be great for pocket layout but any measurements would have to be a guideline as they will change based on suit size.

Pockets on a size small will not be the same on an Extra Large.

Does anyone have a good master drawing of a flightsuit?

If i do this from scratch. It might take me a bit. A simple sketch/drawing is fine.

Have mouse... will follow...

If the file is made as a full size scale-able PDF (with various size registrations on it), then the file can be taken to most any print shop that has a large format printer and scaled to whatever size is needed, whether it be small, medium, Large ect...

The file should include an overall line drawing of both the front and side views of the flightsuit showing all pockets and their positions on the suit.

Include separate drawings of each individual pocket laid flat at it's finished size.

That should get the pocket sizes and such close to the size needed for the wearer.
Make a note on the file that minor size adjustments may still be needed to size the pockets perfectly to the individual wearer based on certain measurements or references.

Great start! I look forward to watching this progress. I suspect this is going to help a lot of people.

Hiya

I just would like to double check on any interest in an illustrated version of the rebel pilot flightsuit standards.

Merci!!!

It might be cool for the A, B, Y wing template as well. Unless this will be the standard pattern for all flight suits...
