I ended up just using slides from Tandy Leather. They're not flat but they are rectangular and silver. Close enough. Razz

Flattening can be done with a hammer, and the buckles can be painted Smile I have to do this with the ones I use.

I wish I could get my hands on more of the old East German fieldgear slides, those were PERFECT. Gray zinc finish, with rounded edges, and 25mm (1"). We used to strip those down from E.German gear and use them for WWII German tropical Y-straps and rucksack straps.

I'm pretty sure those slides are actually British PLCE belt buckles.

This is the belt that would need to be dyed to match the ejection harness:

how to get this belt dyed?
it is synthetic fibre - i know how to do it with natural but not wirh synthetic fibre....

Lokrin, I don't know if you ever got an answer on this... I just noticed it was dated January! But what we did with ours was just use a good gray spray paint, no dye. They sell an automotive upholstery spray paint here in the US, and I used it, but some of our other pilots used regular hardware store paint. Maybe look for a paint that is supposed to be better on plastic, since the belts are nylon.
