DB94 Enfys Nest Resource Webpage: http://db94.rebellegion.com/?page_id=4588

NOTES:
-There are at least 3 different sets of costumes: early has the wrong chest box, hero, and stunt. This will be describing the hero version as best can with given information.
-Many measurements are based on the standee which is approximately 5’5” (165cm) tall (not including helmet spikes)

WEATHERING:
Everything is dirty and distressed.

SUIT:
Full flight suit of dark brown, waxed and weathered material.

Oilskin, deep brown, weathered. (waxed canvas, heavy twill, denim or similar material) (reference Premiere Card) with black inserts around knee and lower leg. The lower leg has a pintuck treatment to the inner portion. The pant ends at the ankle.

There are two wide twill tape strips that run from the crotch area to the shoulders in a “V” pattern.

There is a crotch zipper that zips from front to back.

Many of the seams are triple stitched with a tan color thread.

Long sleeved, but unknown if there is a cuff or what stitching patterns.

The back of the neck does not have a collar.
Unknown front look. It is blocked by the gorget on the cape closure.

Character does not wear a balaclava.

CHEST ASSEMBLY:

Chest box: The box is approximately 4.3"h x 5.8"w (11cm x 14.75cm) as measured on standee. There are three difference chest boxes based on reference photos and screen captures. Please use standee or actual costume from premiere for reference. Early release photos have a different chest box.

The chestbox is placed on a white leather backing that is edge stitched with black thread, rounded corners, approximately 1" (2.5cm) longer than chest box, and not visible on the sides.
Straps for the chest piece are white leather with a black middle part stitched in. (Speculation that the black middle part is webbing although it could be leather – please help with identification on this)
- Top strap goes around the back of the neck – (reference strap location via the back of the forcelink toy). It is 1.75" (4.5cm) wide measured on standee. The black middle is 1” (2.5cm). There are three rows of stitching on the top white part of the strap and two rows on the bottom white part of the strap in black. The black part has an edge stitching in white on top and bottom, with three rows of black stitching in between the white stitching.

- Side straps go around back and connect just above the belt. 2.5" (6.35cm) wide as measured on standee. The black middle is 1” (2.5cm). The white part as a single black edge stitching on both top and bottom. The black part has a single white edge stitch on the top and bottom.
- Side straps (second photo) also have a 4" x 1" (10cm x 2.5cm) strip of webbing that has three lines of stitching onto the white leather backing. There also seems to be a second leather patch. The strap is held with a flat angled D-ring similar to pilot / parachute gear. This needs to be identified and found.
(reference thread https://www.facebook.com/groups/615236102142207/permalink/631513190514498/ )

- The silver beads are a form of metal coupler. The exact one has not been identified. The coupler has a twist lock markings on the top and bottom, with pyramid shaped knurl pattern in the middle. The bead is 1.5” by .375” (40mm x 13mm). Quantity on outfit = 25 to 27 (do not have a clear photo of the necklace, but may have more than the two front ones.) The beads have 20 on the chest piece, 3 on the belt, and 2 or more on the necklace.

- The white chest beads are called Hairpipe beads and are 1.25” x .375” (3.175cm x .95cm) Quantity = 7

- The bottom of the seven rows of beads in the middle have a black tube bead. The ends of the tied cord are threaded back through the bead. Quantity = 7

- The tooth spikes are 3.5” x .5” (8.9cm x 1.27cm) at the base and have a slight curve to them and end at a rounded point. Quantity = 25 (23 for the chest) (2 for the helmet at 3”(7.6cm) (the extra 2 for the necklace are smaller at 2.5” (6.35cm)).
The first 8 spikes on each side have cord wrapped around them three times, the bottom ones are only painted.
All tooth spikes have two bands of painted brown rings. The rings start 3/16” from the top, with the top ring slightly wider than the bottom ring. The paint is not even.
The spikes have tooth like texture and aged paint.
The spikes are glued onto the beads and “U” with clear glue or epoxy. E6000 for the win.
-- The “U” shape of the chest piece is of unknown material. Best guess is some sort of wired cord, or a cast plastic piece. Please discuss this point.

The sides of the chest box have bones that looks similar to pelvis bones of an unknown species. 3.5” long x 2” wide (8.9cm x 5.08cm) approximately.

BELT
-- made of multiple layers of white leather. Base + strap + top patches.
-- base is 2.25” wide, with irregular rounded ends.
-- the inner strap is 1.5” wide and stitched in on the ends only.
-- the top patches are of various widths. The front width of where the first greeble is = 3” wide, then a space for the three silver beads to attach, and the next patch is 2.5” wide and accommodates the second greeble. The top patches are double stitched on each side and single stitched top and bottom.
-- the first greeble is a simple white box shape with a half circle in a grey color.
-- then three silver beads
-- the third greeble is similar to the one worn on Rogue One rebel trooper helmets with the tube cut down.
-- the belt is loose fit with undetermined closure.

FRONT FLAPS (tasset)
-- the tassets are thin suede leather that is a single strip looped and then rolled on to a tube with metal clips.
-- the coloring is stain that is brushed on in an irregular striped pattern

GLOVES:
-- Modified Tac A2 gloves https://www.511tactical.com/tac-a2-gloves.html.
-- The back of the right glove has a irregular circle/donut shape of brown leather that is stitched down with white stitching.
-- The left glove is a circle of black leather stitched down. The wrist strap has leather over stitched with a silver snap like disk.
-- There is white paint over the fingers and parts of the knuckle and finger patches. This has a worn and irregular look.

CAPE: (reference display card at premiere)
-- orange inner layer with black distressed wool outer layer.
-- The cape has 3 panels. The two side panels are narrower than the back.
-- there is a narrow strip of suede stitched on top of the wool on each side of the front panels.
-- there is a 4" wool facing on the inside of the front panel of the cape, before the orange starts.
-- the suggested length on the standee is 44" from shoulder to bottom of hem. The bottom should hit at the top of the wearer's calf.
-- Fur is a Buffalo fur on hide. Brown, 4” to 6” long hair.
-- UPDATE: THIS MAY BE SEPARATE FROM THE SUIT AND IS PART OF THE CAPE: The neckline has a front gorget section (google “gorget armor”, if unfamiliar with term) This one looks like a stiff leather or at least the material has a lining to stiffen it slightly. This is so you do not see her neck from the front view.
-- the necklace is tied to either side of the gorget. It does not loop around the neck.

OPTIONAL: No helmet look
-- Plaid or patterned cloth draped around the shoulders
-- No cape
-- Hair is Ombre blondish, to ginger, to a darker color towards the ends.
-- It is tightly pulled and tied at the back
-- minimal makeup

SHOES:
Black hi-tops with white soles approx 1" tall, no laces, ribbed elastic tongue, ribbed heel, with latching buckles.

lange ski boot buckles – same as Jyn and Cassian (contrib by Ashley Donisch)

Might we be able to revive this thread now that the costume is at FIDM and not behind a glass?

Suggested adjustment for the hair and face portion.
"The hair, if the costumer chooses to go helmet less, is plaited down to the base of the skull then pulled into a ponytail."

Reference image: https://www.starwarsauthentics.com/iSynApp/productDisplay.action?sid=1102083&productId=1354000&isynsharedsession=N7rUi9CwdohewPyk3oyuKzad83gare-i1NTPq7I3ZXNEdaSACl02r4aCDzYhNvUm

On the suit itself, there is a 1" black twill tape insert on the chest running down vertical from the topstitching.

The canvas inset on the knees, where they are most noticeable, are a dark blue. It is the same on the arm portion and it is specifically visible the way the costume is being displayed at FIDM currently, although it is listed as option. Just wanted to be able to confirm that is indeed the same. I can provide reference, with my photos, if necessary. (I haven't downloaded and hosted them yet.)

They are up until April, right before Celebration. We went today to check it out again and get a few more pictures because when we saw it before at El Cap it was behind the glass. It's situated in the corner of the gallery but you can still get very close.

It doesn't appear that Disney sent models scale to their respective actors, the way they did with the Rogue One display last year, so it's just one of FIDM's. That and the suit is slightly shifted on the mannequin, BUT it makes for better viewing of the suit. I certainly noticed a lot more this time around.

twill tape reference image from last post:

What is listed as the "knife" piece of the suit, it is made of the dark blue navy canvas that is used on the knee area.

I'm confused a little on the way the loop is written on the red strap area on the proposal? There is a large loop of what looks like cording, navy in color, on the bottom of the "knife" piece, the red strap/wiring runs through it to keep both stationary. There are knots on the outer sides of the cording. The way it is written, at least to me, makes it sound like the loop is supposed to be red.
