Hello Fellow Clones,
I wasn't sure where to post or whom to ask, but for those clones that are in the RL and 501st, I was hoping for clarification when signing up for troops. Since clones overlap, is legion representation an 'AND' or an 'OR'? If I troop an event, am I representing the 501st AND the Rebel Legion, or do I have to select which legion I'm representing beforehand and log my participation for that legion which I've selected to represent for that event? Hope that makes sense. Thanks clones! _________________ Commander Grey |

Ive always understood that you represent both. I submit a report to both groups when I troop. |

It's always been considered both in my garrison/base. I post reports on both boards. _________________ Dagobah Base CO

Two Legions, One Army
If you are in both the 501st and the Rebel Legion, then it's and. _________________

I hate to bo be contrary, but I'd check with your 501st garrison's CO, and make sure they're ok with you representing both Legions for a given troop. Some might not be. I'm not sure if there are written policies on this matter, so it may be up to the Garrison commander's discretion. I DO know there have been issues in the past where dual members (the specific instance I'm thinking of was dual 501st Mando Merc) were spending the majority of the time trooping with the other Legion members, and didn't really feel like they were honestly trooping with and representing the 501st at that troop. As such, they didn't want to count the troop... and for this specific trooper, that was the one troop they did in the year, so membership status was called into question.
Point being, it may be no issue at all, but it also COULD be an issue, so confirm it to be sure, and don't risk the assumption that it's ok, just in case a particular CO is prickly about it. _________________

I'm familiar with that incident. It seemed the garrison didn't allow troopers to have any of their troops count as a troop for both Legions, which I thought was a little odd. Of course it could just be my garrison, but both my base and the local garrison all troop together as one big Star Wars family. _________________ Dagobah Base CO

Yeah, the incident definitely made some waves. And yes, that particular garrison and the local Mando clan (moreso than the RL, I think) seem to have some bad blood between them.
Either way, though, the point is to ask just to be sure, so you don't end up with a nasty surprise later. It's polite to do so, even if it's a pro forma thing in most cases. _________________

Yes, always work with local leaders and post to boards and commit properly. When in an approved costume, and following procedure, you should generally be fine.

It is definitely ideal when it can be that way. _________________
