I keep seeing threads pop up with newcomers asking for fabric recommendations for this costume and I figured this would be a good place to list the materials that I used or as close as I could match in the case of the robe.

Outer Tunic:

Outer Tunic Lining: Skirt and Sleeves

Inner Tunic: Cotton Interlock Potting Soil Brown for Collar and Sleeves and Ivory for the body

Body: If you go to your local Joann this material is not ribbed as it shows in the picture but has a smooth even texture. (Ivory)

Collar and Sleeves: (Potting Soil Brown)

Pants: Should you choose to make them. I know most people just buy Dickies or some other factory made pants but if you're doing it like I did, I made my own.

Robe: This will need to be dyed with several bottles of RIT Cocoa Brown Dye and 1 bottle of RIT Dark Brown Dye. This fabric also goes on sale from time to time so keep an eye out if you do decide to buy it.

Best of luck in your quest General Kenobis!

I just figured I would bump this thread to the top for people's reference. I often get contacted regarded this costume so I thought it might be helpful to have it handy.

Also the costume shown in this thread is all sold. The robe went to one member here, the saber on ebay, and the remaining pieces all went to a newer member here who brought it with him to Celebration the other week. Apparently one of my Dharma Obi-Wan Tunic sets was spotted at the convention too which which I was shocked (but delighted) to hear as this new member who has this Ep. III Obi-Wan costume ran into him.

I wore the cloak to Star Wars Celebration with my Obi-Wan Kenobi and my Jedi Master Uncle Deadly Mountain Muppet of Colorado outfit. I got a lot of complements on it.

I often get asked about the availability of this costume and I just want to clarify that the entire thing has sold as of last year.

If you like I have a 3 part YouTube video review documenting each part of it which may help you develop your own Obi-Wan ROTS costume but by no means is it meant to be a step by step tutorial.

I am retired from making prequel Era Jedi costumes as well but am happy to discuss where to source materials and tips on construction.

Thank you!
