As long as it looks like a properly sized, non plastic saber hilt, you're good to go.
(Not saying metal, because wood can be used in a hilt too) _________________ May the Force be with you. Oh wait, the Force is with me. Tough luck for you. |

This is where I am concerned for people spending their money, the way those sabers look, and a debate we got into in a Facebook group.
Quite literally to my eye, they look like toys. They are over-sized, in both length and width. In larger hands they really do not look bad. I have seen some of them that look pretty nice, even though they are large. I have also seen ones that remind me of the plastic toy sabers. I am told they are metal, but the finish looks like a dull plastic. Like the toy sabers that they tried to make look metallic.
I understand fully that a saber does not need to be metal, I am just concerned with the look of these from Galaxy's Edge. _________________ Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.

there seem to be 2 different kinds, available for sale at Disneyland.
- I agree the ones from Savi's Workshop look like toys, and I don't think they would be acceptable.
(ie: the ones that look like this)
^^ these look like oversized plastic toys. I don't think these would be accepted in the RL.
I can definitely see a problem with these sabers being accepted.
- however, the "replica" character-sabers at Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities, look perfectly fine.
(ie: the ones that look like this)
^^ these look just like the "Force-FX" sabers, which ARE accepted in the RL.
I don't see a problem with these being accepted. _________________

And I agree completely on the custom build a saber Savi's Workshop things. They look completely like toys. Metal or not, they look like a TOY. Thing is, there was a pretty big debate in a FB group that people insisted they were approved. That is where I want to know what the RL judges actually think about them/official word. _________________ Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
