No problem. Ask as many questions as you want. We are here to help.

The greeblies are in extra loops that are sewed on to the belt. You do not have to add the loops and the greeblies if you do not want to. They are optional. I would add them if I were you so that you can also use it for other costumes such as the signals intelligence technician.

I guess the good news is I can use the first belt to make loops for the second one! Smile

I do not think that is a good idea. Cutting up the other belt will give you too many edges that can fray out. I bought a roll of 1-inch wide synthetic webbing. Then sealed the edge by burning it with a lighter. Next, I place it at the correct location on the belt. I made sure that it was in the center so that the distance to the top and bottom edge was about the same. Then I sewed it to the belt. Next, I created a loop by placing a greelie between the belt and the webbing. After that, I marked where the stitches had to go, took the greeblie out and sewed the loop in place. This needs to be repeated for each loop. The webbing gets cut and sealed before the last loop is sewed in place. I would also suggest not only to cut and seal the ends but also fold them under and sew over the webbing so that the edges are covered up. That also helps with the fraying. I forgot to do that when I made my belt.

So since the CS allows for a Blaster and holster. I'm going with a brown leather belt and holster with the octagonal silver buckle. I'll be using a DL-44. Here's the belt and holster before dyeing.

Holster and blaster look great. So does the leather belt. Smile

To clarify the loops on the PLCE belt:

I do not think that you will need the PLCE belt if you use that belt and holster. The RFT style belts are worn like regular belts in Rogue One. Just add the holster with the DL-44 and you should be good to go. I am planning on doing something similar for my officer but I will use a DH-17 instead of a DL-44.

If you decide you want the proper PLCE belt, you don't need to chop up the belt you already bought. The roll-pin buckle always have a length of 1" webbing used as a pull, which needs to be removed. That bit of webbing is generally all you need to add the few loops for the greeblies. Smile

If he used the original PLCE belt he purchased, he would need to add more than just the loops for the greebs. The one he purchased was smooth on both sides, so the textured ribbing type loops would need to be added. However, I believe he is going to use the other belt option, the leather RFT style one, so the point is moot.

Agreed, moot point, with the leather belt, more for future reference. I was referring to the proper ribbed PLCE belts, as a base, not his smooth one (which is pretty useless, other than as donor for the buckle, for some other project). Those tabs on the roll-pin buckles are perfect for adding the webbing loops for the greeblies, onto the proper ribbed PLCE belts.

As to the belts, I was considering a PLCE pants belt and a brown leather belt and holster underneath with silver octagonal buckle. What’s the thoughts on that? No yoke, just a simple belt and holster.

Also, anyone know the dimensions of the boot greeblies? I bought a couple lengths of 1/2 inch PVC with caps on one end. I was going to paint them up and see how they look.

There was only one Yavin Operation Officer that wore a leather belt with an octagonal buckle. He wore it like a regular belt and did not have a blaster.

You could wear the PLCE belt in your belt loops like Cassian Andor and the holster belt similar to Lando Calrissian in Solo. He wears some kind of scarf belt with his pants and the holster belt kind of slides done the right hip. He has a strap around his right leg. Perhaps someone else has a different suggestion.

Here are the measurements of my anklet greebies. My pipe has a diameter of 16mm. The caps have a diameter of 22mm and are 18mm high. The whole greeblie is 100mm long with the cap on.

Here's my attempt at the boot greeblies. I threw a sharpie and measuring tape in for scale.

I think your boot greeblie looks good and should work just fine.
