Event: Back to the Bri

Location: The Crossing Theatre Narrabri

Date/ Time: Saturday 5 October 10am-5pm

Weather: Warm but cloudy

Rocket-74 - Jedi

Mission Report: The day started off with a bang, but went a little quiet mid day as everyone moved off to check out the other events at the festival. But by mid afternoon we had big numbers back at the Star Wars Experience as the cosplay competition got under way. Four Medals of Yavin were presented to cosplay winners, an original artwork went home with one very happy girl, and one lucky winner even walked away with a combat saber after winning his category in the cosplay comp, and showing off some impressive spins with a saber. The Sons of ObiWan ran Theatre Combat and Spinning & Tricking classes all day, including one class for special needs kids. The general Star Wars talk was full of enthusiasm, with talks of regular meet ups in the coming months.

Well done Rod on being POC and event convener all rolled into one! I am glad everyone had a good time at the 'bri and I hope you can grow an outposted RL group in your town.
