I am reviving this thread since it died without resolution. It would be great if we could get clarification on this before proceeding with updating the Resistance standard to the new format.

I think the issue with the ones on Etsy is the $50 price tag, personally. I also have concerns about durability of cast rubber hoses, since mine is failing badly.
If we can find an acceptable hose that is sold in US hardware stores, that solves the shipping problem and (hopefully) the structural integrity problem as well.

Are there any current pilot judges who can make a ruling here? I anticipate sending several new squadron members up for judgement in the next few months, and I'd really like to give them solid information about hoses.

Thanks!

So I bought the casted hose from Etsy for force_pilot88 to use, but not sure is it because the heat in my area, the hose is starting to shows signs of tearing at joints.

However, it is still better than the previous one, which start to tear almost immediately when open up from shipping bags.

With clean up, casted hose can definitely be presentable, but the durability is still not so up there in long run.
