The CRL says “gray/white gauntlet” gloves. Does that mean “stark” white? Or can they be “off white”? Especially if they’re weathered. As others have started, it’s tough to find these gloves that don’t have a huge brand on the gauntlet. But I did find these. Are they acceptable?

Those look acceptable to me. I'm not a judge, but they look fine. I got mine from Pilot Bay. I know Wampa Wear makes some too.

Heres a screen cap for reference: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JdNucXHZzG3_uiIL4ZB6cgp3x6IPbKID/view?usp=sharing

Have you considered Imperial Boots as an option?

I dont think the offwhite will be a huge issue (if it were me judging) but as there are other options available id suggest looking for alternatives. Off white could be subtle or could be a creamy yellow colour in reality.

The logos are usually fairly easy to remove, through sanding and sometimes a bit of acetone, then the usual weathering. There are some very inexpensive options on eBay that work quite nicely, and just need the printing removed in the manner described.

Portwest A520 Welding Gloves.

UK brand so shipping takes some time. But I haven't seen anything closer, TBH. Just over $11 USD shipped.

Sorry about the delay! Crazy holiday times. Returned your PM, but I'll write the process out here, for others:

The amount of ink seems to vary per glove, so you kind of have to play it by ear for each one. I just used standard 100 grit sandpaper, and sanded until either the logo was gone, or I felt I was removing too much leather, and stopped before it got to a risk of damage.

One glove was fine with just sanding, the other needed a little more, so I used acetone. Just pour acetone on a paper towel (so you can better control how much you're applying and where) and blot at the ink until it starts to go away. Note that the cuff will be pretty thin after sanding, so put a scrap of 2x4 or something similar inside the cuff, just so the acetone doesn't soak through to the other side.

It'll probably look a little funky, sort of water-stained, after the acetone, so I just wet the whole glove (with water) to help even things out a bit, after the ink was sufficiently banished... all you need to do is make it not recognizable as a square and writing, after all, you don't need to remove every vestige. It darkens a LOT while wet (super scary, thought I destroyed it!) and looks like it turned a medium gray leather (!!!) but once it dried it went back to totally normal looking white. A little stiff, but loosens up fine once you wear it a couple minutes.

Repeat as necessary, if needed. And don't worry about perfection in ink removal... after all, you're going to want to weather it a bit, so a little wonkiness won't be noticeable (especially where it's covered by the greeblie).

Good luck, and post pics when you're done!
