Sorry to barge in on the conversation, and my apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but I was wondering if ATS leather gaiters would work for the Rogue One boots? Providing of course that you get the Chelsea boot in the same color brown.

Cheers, Evert

David, I am sorry to hear that you having some difficulties with this project. I already answered your shirt question in a PM but I will also post two possible sources for shirts here in case someone else has the same problem.

Philonius () sells shirts for Rebel Fleet Officer uniform set (ANH/R1) so he might make them in a different color if ask nicely. Here is the link to his sales post.

Another possible shirt source is Magnoli Clothiers. They offer a variety of smuggler shirts for 125 Dollars. One of them is a French Blue Cotton (RFT) shirt. I think they would also make it in a different color if you ask them. https://www.magnoliclothiers.com/smuggler-shirt-shirts-p-516.htm

hey Todd

well, im stuck. Ill make my ankle bracelet and I am going to scrap the belt I made and start over. My MAIN issue is the tan shirt. Pants are done, shoes fit fine. I had a tan dickies shirt that I made with the typical RFT cut, but using a dickies shirt means it has a regular sleeve with regular cuff. The original shirts did not have a cuff. I know how judges are---I WAS a RAID judge, so my concern is finishing the uniform, but not getting approved due to the cuff on the shirt. The standard says no cuff, so cutting off the cuff is going to have the shirt sleeve end WELL above my wrist.
I had a shirt being made, but, well, that's gone.

RFT allows a standard cuff... this variant does not?

Those look decent although the cuffs closed with Velcro, not laces, so you might need to add the Velcro.

Cuffs are simple enough, though, if you're going to do that, particularly given the high price for those (moreso if you're paying in USD plus shipping), I'd think it would be cheaper to have them made to order than buy those and then pay more to alter them.

Philonius' Officer shirt looks pretty dead on for this costume, to my eye. Is there some reason you think it would need to be altered? Looks just like the photo in the standards, as I see it:

http://newsite.rebellegion.com/signals-intelligence-technician-rogue-one/

I happen to own one of those shirts by Phil, so seeing this makes me think I should do one of these costumes, too, as long as there's no issue with the shirt, since I have all the other components as well. (gotta love mix and match RL costumes!)

The Standard states that there are no cuffs on the shirt, and to modify any standard long sleeve shirt, the cuff end , once terminated, will end up an inch and a half above my wrist. I was a judge, so I know how judges think--- ending that far above the wrist is not consistent with the reference images.
that's the same as the requirement for Jedi sleeves to come to the knuckles.

with my weird body shape, and all the failures Ive had having things made to order online, I REALLY hesitate to order. Ive got a lot of things I had made that I cannot wear. I found a local person, now I just have to get with her on my two days in my home state.

I got measured for my new shirt, and hopefully this works out. I was lucky enough to persuade someone who has done work for me in the past to make this. I need to get back on the belt. I bought a LARGE Plce and it might fit a kid.

did a test fitting on my new shirt today. Sleeves , collar and bib are perfect, but the shoulders need work despite being measured.

Im going to sit down tonight and make a pattern for my ankle gaiters.

It is great to hear that your shirt is coming along.

Concerning the belt size. Have you considered sewing two tan British PLCE belt together to achieve the necessary length? You could probably hide the connection underneath the center belt loop in the back of your pants.

the cost is prohibitive. I just did a search on Ebay and the cheapest I can find there is 23 dollars each. I really cant justify that, especially after purchasing all the parts to make one. I just need some quality time at the machine. Ive made dozens of X wing belts, this is the same idea with more loops.
