Would agree with the diagram you drew of the seams, and would like to and that verbiage should say that they are flat felled.

I would agree “panel” is a better term than gusset. I know when I read your suggestion I was going crazy thinking a triangle or similar was in the sleeve when I clearly couldn’t see it. 
I just cut the underarm area into a panel under the sleeve and attached it and that was how I translated it.
Anya, I agree on the drawing as well. Makes the seams at the shoulder and side much clearer. It’s so hard to tell with these things in the dark lighting.

Hello! I am starting this build and I already bought all my fabric based on the initial discussion here.
I just want to clarify things about the tunic fabric - will a suede or suede like material be required? Or would just a bottom weight cotton be ok? |
