I agree, its a heckuva lot easier to look at each piece as you go. It takes a few more minutes to set it up initually but it helps everyone in the long run.
When I got approved I used black pantyhose material in my earholes. A lot of costumers did not have anything in there and were advised to add it during judging. The image of the trooper standing on Endor with 3po behind him gives us the best overall shot of a *troopers* (not Commanders) helmet, outdoors in good light, from the side showing the ear hole is closed.
If I knew anything about editing photos I would help, but all I can do it crop in Paint Neutral
