Here's 2 that I always wanted Alderaan to do but no support could be mustered:
1) YES!!! Gaspee Days Parade in Cranston
2) 4th of July Parade in Bristol (the oldest 4th of July parade in the country)
Both are RI events. |

What's a Gaspee?
And yes, I R ur RFT in Bridgeport. Does that mean I get a small guardshack or something with a cot in the back, a coffee maker and field rations? And grenades. And blasters (along with power packs and tibanna gas). And a Firespray class ship for transportation purposes.
Over Memorial day (I think), I know they have Derby and Shelton parades in the Valley. I used to march in these parades with the Ren Faire I used to work with. They might be a nice venue to pick up if possible and they are not overly long walks (IMHO). _________________ MacRican

Downtown Mystic sounds like a great place to do a SPD parade! J and I will definitely try to make it. Yay for shorter driving!
Also, with the 2009 Gaspee Day Parade, J and I might not be able to make it. I have my fingers crossed that I'll be in OK training to be an Air Traffic Controller.
We hope to be able to make it to every other CT/RI event though.. or as many as possible when we move up there!! _________________ For every star, a story there is. |

In June of 1772 brave colonists from Rhode Island burned the British revenue schooner, HMS Gaspee, in what has become recognized as the first overt action leading to the American Revolutionary War. Since 1965 the village of Pawtuxet, RI has commemorated this act with our annual Gaspee Days Parade. _________________ For every star, a story there is. |

We'll set you up with a spotting scope on one of those osprey perches they've got along the sound! Make you feel like you stepped into the jungles of Yavin, for sure!!!
And what's with the grenades?? You Jayne Cobb or something?!?! _________________ Phantom Squadron.... Alderaan |

Wow I'm impressed!
My Kids live right by the Parade Route now. Would love to march in this one for them. |

Jayne Cobb and myself have one thing in common aside from having cunning headgear, we like to be prepared. I don't ever want to be pinned down in a firefight and have to look over in your direction and say "Sure would be nice if we had some grenades!" _________________ MacRican
