Huge maybe this year. Mrs. Dork Vader will need a heavy bribe. I think I'm blowing my yearly weekend pass with Wondercon next week. That's what happens when your spouse doesn't care for STAR WARS. _________________

We will be going as the Wizard and I usually stay longer then the convention and have a mini vacation. He is talking about doing 10 days this year but we will see what happens.
At least I will most likely be walking on my own by that time. _________________ I'm in Ep. II; for just a few seconds, then Anakin kills me.

possibly, may make a family trip out of it this year. I usually rely on a friend to get a hotel room and then I share in the cost. Not sure yet. _________________ The Force will be with you, always |

I'm planning on going as well, though as Kathy says it somewhat depends on the hotel situation. I'd definitely fly down rather than drive though, in the interest of saving time. _________________ Alison

My bro and I already bought our passes for our 8th Comic-Con in a row. We plan to fly, and if we can get the same hotel as last year, that would be sweet - no need for a car, good location, free shuttle service to and from the airport and to and from the convention too!
We'll probably book a flight next week. _________________ "You like me because I'm a scoundrel."

You know the convention is multiple days, right? Which day are you going to attend?
Make sure you order your pass in advance, because Saturday usually sells out a month or two in advance of the convention. _________________ Base Webmaster

Hey, she should wear it to the annual Leia's Metal Bikini shoot! |
I think she had that in mind. I have shown her pics from previous years. She thought that was cool. Kathy, I can't recall if you said you were working on one at the dinner or not. _________________ Thayne Gunther (TK-5401)

Yeah, I've been keeping it on the downlow because I'm not sure I can pull it off I got a used kit in the mail and the bra top has some major problems so I'm really bummed about that. The paint is peeling off VERY badly, it is rubber and doesn't seem to have been stored properly so it seems to be permanently misshaped on one side and doesn't sit right on my body... Oh yeah, and the arm band is just gigantic on me! I'd have to cut it and remake it and that could ruin it. Um, the bikinin bottom is too big too. I thought I could take in the leather straps but it's still too loose. I'd literally need smaller oval bits on the sides which means ordering or making my own resin peices and then the paint job wouldn't match.
That was 550 bucks down the toilet. Probably for the best, I'd just be a but-her-face in it anyway at best
If I do find a way to get it together so it fits and it is fixed in time for Comic-Con I might get brave and wear it quickly to that photo shoot. That's a big MIGHT. _________________ Base Webmaster

Don't say that, Kathy. Far from it. I'm sure you'll look great in it. Maybe you can sell the one you got on ebay or something to get at least some money back. Maybe buy one of Jamin's kits on ebay, or maybe one from Darcienne. I think the latter's are more custom (not sure on the price comparison though). That's what Victoria and Christy have. _________________ "You like me because I'm a scoundrel."
