in the business we commonly call those connectors cannon plugs. Its a generic term assigned to twist lock connectors made to MIL-Spec by Bendix, Amphenol, DMC and other companies.

lol....
Now you tell me....

I ended up making a my own by sawing apart a threaded PVC pipe piece and using screws and a PVC base....then making a mold and casting it...with the screws in the holes in the base....

would have been easier just to buy one of those...

Laughing

and...
truthfully...
though a massive pain....
this costume was much easier than the Hoth Trench Trooper and Naboo Pilot...

I did feel that the hose on my costume was too long...

and also
it was brought to my attention that the orange escutcheon I used at the hose end probably wasn't one of my best ideas...I thought it looked good...
but...let's face it...not seen in any photo....

So...
I shortened the hose 8"

and removed the orange escutcheon (was not permanently on there anyway)

and...

this is the upgrades...

One thing was brought to my attention that I would like to pass along to any prospective Y-Wing Pilots that are in progress....

Blue Banshee Leader (Alex Buirch) brought to my attention that my ejection harness (though made as others have done and as described in the costume standard) really is not correct...

the harness should be one piece .....loop at one leg - up to the vest and down to loop at the other leg....
I may re-do mine and I thank Alex for bringing that to my attention...

he provided this photo:

This is another conundrum about this costume that when I was researching I found difficult to nail down...

in the photo above, it almost looks like there is a "loop" at the bottom of the vest where the ejection harness feeds through...my initial pattern had such a loop on it...but I never made it that way...

thoughts?

I saved the pic and used photobucket effects to alter it and I can see a loop off the bottom of the belly pouch. Knowing that this is one continuous piece of webbing makes creating it easier, ill just need to get two 2" triglides. it looks to me that the hose falls to the crotch and returns.

cool....that should not be too difficult to add that loop..

and truth be told, my vest is too long...
I did make a conscious decision on that though...
being that I am not even 5' 4" tall....things always are long on me...
you can only make things so short before they start to look "mini" and the elements of the vest become too close together...
