I am trying to find a helmet kit that is appropriately sized for a women's head size. Thus far I'm looking at the Darth Hair kit but I'm concerned it will be too big. Does anyone have any recommendations on other makers, or do women tend to just put extra padding in their helmets?

The Rando Mextra (AKA Mark Bradley, AKA Jedi Mickey) helmets are a little smaller than most others.

I have a Darth Hair helmet. It's a little big but not too out of proportion on me. I have skate helmet padding on the inside. For reference, I'm 5'1":

Ideally the helmet should be a little oversized on most people. Watch ANH and see how huge that helmet looks on Luke and many of the other pilots.

Thanks for the info. I had been looking at the Darth Hair helmets, since everyone seems to like them. I'm glad to see that his won't look too big on me.

@Ryss: Love the purple visor, that's sweet!
