HI Guys,

I'm posting a WIP so that I can have a central place to put all the information I require in order to do my Next costume (due date 12/12/2015).

at this stage I only have the DH-17 blaster (which will also be used for my mando costume)

I don't have everything else.

I have had conflicting information and wanted to check with a LCJ which cost effective means to get the flight suit/flak vests vs a good quality and trusted flight suit/vest vendor?

I believe I have local contacts (sydney australia)that can do the code cylinders and greeblies. I have recieved information on where I can get VERY good east german boots.

now if I do a red twi'lek male x wing is it permissable to NOT have a helmet?

I know that most people associate red twileks with sith but I have done some research and there are also red twi'lek jedi as well. so it's not too far fetched to have a red twi'lek male rebel pilot.

Red Twi'leks are fine, there shouldn't be a problem with it. And no, you don't need a helmet, it's not required so long as you have belt flares and/or an accurate buckle on the belt.

As for where to get the suit and vest... I'm not a good source for that. >>;;

You can check with Jeff Rodriguez, aka-Darth Hair. His wife makes flight suits and flak vests. He's on these boards. I got all the hard parts for my pilot from him and he does great work. I seen photos of his wife's flight suit's and vest's and they look amazing.
