I finally convinced my wife to join me in the costuming world:). She has chosen Endor Leia as her first build. If anyone has any helpfully info, tutorials, pattern knowledge for shirt and jacket, etc. i would greatly appreciate it.

Also, please look at these pants. They are equestrian pants found at Good will. I Will need to remove the patches, dye them an appropriate collor and add the yellow stripe. Oyher than that, what do you think? All opinions are appreciated.

I built (am still building) my wife that same costume. It's a good one for a wife who is reluctant to go out with me (but still willing). I made her pants from a normal pattern. I think I am using those riding pants as my Luke Skywalker ROTJ costume! Hard to dye them because of the lycra so make sure you use the correct dye. Here is my endor leia build info:

I just need the wrist watch and a pouch and it will be done.

When I made my Endor Leia I mostly used the instructions on Vera's Endor Leia Page

I tried to document my own work with it, but I had a computer crash that took away all my photos, so the only thing I have is this summary on costume blog

A few questions:

Do they have back pockets?

Are they waist high, or do they sit below the waist? Leia's sit at her true-waist, which would be visible since her shirt is tucked in.

What's the fiber content of the pants? If they are all cotton or a cotton/rayon blend (anything natural) they would be dyeable. The khaki would throw off the blue, though, so you'd have to get some iDye color remover and try and strip it down to a more white color and then try dyeing it.

I've been considering using my old military blues uniforms to do the mockups and then cut to the appropriate fabrics.

I got the paints I had ordered today and could paint the poncho

I first sprayed a layer of Fosco DDR green to turn the poncho mostly green, then I added Fosco Mud Brown and Fosco Desert before a layer of Fosco Pale Green. I then put another layer of first the DDR green and then Pale Green all over and tried to make it even.
