I decided I needed a quick and easy costume that was readily recognizable. I found some white knit fabric on sale while browsing the store today and decided to give ANH Leia a go. The fabric is a smidge see through, even when doubled, but not so bad the proper underclothing can't keep things family friendly.
It still needs to be hemmed, and the belt is just a stand in to give it the right shape.

From what I can see, it looks good. Do you have the keyhole opening in the back?
As long as you wear nude colored underwear and bra, you should be fine. _________________

Yup, keyhole opening, hook and eye closure, slits in the sides, open hood. I used Pam's tutorial. I did have to stretch out the sleeves a touch. Seems I have gorilla arms, but they end at my wrist so it should be all good. |

What kind of knit fabric you used? _________________ Dowager Queen Delegation Leader 2015-2017

I'm afraid I don't really know. :/ It was a (very large) remnant, and beyond a price scrawled on the inside of the fabric roll my local fabric store doesn't really label anything, especially not remnants. I just looked for something with a nice drape that was stark white and not too see through.
I did buy a wonderful 96% bamboo rayon/4% lycra blend fabric for my Asajj costume off fabric.com that had a lovely hand and drape. I am certain it would be amazing for this costume in white. (Mine was black) Problem is it was $10 a yard and I wasn't looking forward to buying 8 yards of it. I hear people usually use "Jet Set" fabric from Joann's. It is much more reasonably priced. It seems to be on sale right now.

I just wanted to know if it was a cotton/poly blend, because I saw that at JoAnn. I really wanted the polyester, but they only sell it online. _________________ Dowager Queen Delegation Leader 2015-2017
