This just in. I have our schedule.
Our panel times and locations are as follows:
Meet the Rebel Legion
Friday Panel 2 2-3pm
Soft Rebel Costume Construction
Saturday Workshop 1 5-6pm
Tales From the Troops
Saturday Workshop 1 7:30-8:30pm
Rebel Armor
Sunday Workshop 1 1-2pm
Also, the 501st has requested a volunteer or 2 from each of the other legions to offer additional points of view for a couple of their panels. They are:
Star Wars Episode 7 – From a certain point of view
Saturday Panel 1 12:30-1:30pm
Members of the 501st discuss their take on the new movie. Included in the discussion will be rumors and leaks (from what we hear) and what the panel members think.
The Legendary Star Wars Universe
Sunday Panel 2 1-2pm
Members of the 501st discuss major events from the Expanded Universe, the current status as Star Wars Legends stories, and our thoughts on what if any of them we expect to become “Canon”.
Umm, what time is the dinner with Peter Mayhew on Saturday at the spaghetti place? Will that conflict with the later Saturday panels? _________________

The Saturday night dinner with the Mayhews is a Garrison Tyranus thing and not a convention thing (they are selling tickets to another dinner with the Mayhews on Friday night at the convention hotel).
Anna and I made sure that GT invited the other legions to their private party with the Mayhews.
Yes it will conflict with the Saturday night panel. I am planning on leading that panel (and not planning to go to the GT dinner). Everyone is free to go to the dinner or help with the panel (their choice). By 7, I think the table will be broke down, so we may not need that staffed too.
Even though I like the idea of the panel for Tales from the Troops, I would really like to do the dinner with the Mayhews on Saturday night.
I'm not sure yet what time I'll be able to make it down there on that Friday, but, if needed, will try to be there for the panel. I'm not doing the Friday night dinner, so I can work the table.
Both of those sound really cool!

Well, Bantha poo-doo. I wanted to do both.
And... I was going into Toshe Station to pick up some power converters.
*sigh* That schedule also knocks me out of the meet the RL panel I was really hoping to attend. Will have to consider the options at this point. _________________

That knocks me out of the Meet the RL panel too.
Do they not realize that most people are coming in on Saturday?
Why would they schedule our panel mid day on a Friday.
This isnt that large of a convention that they are going to have that much traffic on Friday at 2pm.
I wont be coming in until late after work on Friday as I cannot take the additional time off.
And they are doing the same thing to the 501st with their Meet and greet panel:
Meet the 501st
on Friday Noon-1pm
That just doesnt make a lot of sense that both groups are trying to get the most amount of people to attend these panels and neither group will have much attendance, from either our members OR guests. _________________ "Why, you stuck up,..half-witted,..scruffy-looking,..nerf-herder!"..."Who's scruffy-looking?"
We need volunteers to lead/staff our panels: We will also need people to staff our table.
our panels are:
Meet the 501st - Friday 2 to 3 PM - lead Rick Csernelabics (unless someone else wants to step up. I will do this panel as a last resort)
Soft Rebel Costume Construction - Friday 5 to 6 PM - no staff yet
Tales From the Troops - Saturday 7:30 to 8:30 PM - leads Rick Csernelabics
Jason Tuttle
Rebel Armor - Sunday 1 to 2 PM - lead Rick Csernelabics
We will also need people to staff the table. I will probably be staffing the table while not in panels. I also do not have anything to display, so if you have stuff to display...
There are a very limited number of free badges available for this effort. Those that commit to do more move up the list as far as getting free badges (settled by 2-14). For those that do not get a free badge, The convention is offering us a group rate of $30.00. But those badges will need to be ordered before the con (I'll find the exact cut-off date, but right now think about 2-21). The discount rate will not be offered at the door.
On Friday, the convention is doing a dinner party in the hotel restaurant. A limited number of tickets are available and are open to all con goers. There is no costume discount of any sort being offered for this. For more information see the following website:
http://rofcon.com/events/vip-guest-dinner
There is also a private dinner that the 501st is having on Saturday. If you have a free badge, and have committed to work during this time, you will be expected to fulfill your panel/table obligations before leaving for the dinner (although we may seriously consider just packing the table up before this particular event).
Please sign up to lead/work panels and to sit at/costume at the table (give timeframes you are willing to work at the table so we can schedule people).

I have also informed ROFCon staff that they may select volunteers in costume from our tables as needed for Peter Mayhew escort duty (as long as they leave at least 1 person to man the table).
I raised Joel's objections (well he is the one who actually voiced them) to the convention staff.
The reason they scheduled us the way they did was to make sure that our panels did not conflict with any of the events that had planned for Peter Mayhew. Pretty much the only times available to move our panels to at this point are like between 2 and 4 AM during their adult programming block. As far as the panel that conflicts with the Spaghetti Dinner, remember, that is a 3 Legion event (and not a con event), the con did not know about it, and was unable to predict it to steer clear of that time block.
Colt45 and I can at least do 12-2 on Saturday and 12-2 on Sunday although if you want my husband at the Rebel Armor panel you can pull him for that, too, on Sunday. In reality we'll probably spend most of our time Saturday and Sunday at the tables (both RL and 501st), though, even if we're not technically signed up for that. We like hanging out there! So for me at least on Saturday it'll be more like 12-6. My husband will have to come out of the armor after a shift.
We'll be getting in probably after midnight Saturday AM because of my work which is the reason why I chose the noon shift vs 10 AM. Takes me longer to get ready as Aayla if I don't have time to prepare the room the night prior. Still soooo bummed about the panels. _________________

I posted this on the GT boards but my plan is to pretty much hang at the tables and split my time on Saturday between both groups. The only caveat is if there is a Mayhew panel I would like to attend.
But at this point you can put me in for any Saturday shifts and I will change into alternating costumes. And then I will be going to the joint dinner.
As I mentioned over on GT if you need a Gunner or RFT for escort, just let me know the time and I can be in whatever costume
So Saturday, 10am - 6pm dependant on panels RL and GT
Sunday 10-2 _________________ "Why, you stuck up,..half-witted,..scruffy-looking,..nerf-herder!"..."Who's scruffy-looking?"
I don't yet know what time on Friday I will be able to arrive. Still not sure if we're coming down that Thursday evening or Friday morning.
Other than the Saturday dinner with the Mayhews, I'm willing to work the table, escort, or whatever you need the rest of the time. Only thing I ask is for a break every now and then.
