Started playing with the hair today. Anyone have any feedback?

Obviously I didn't slick down my hair with darkening gel, which I will do for pics and troops, but I wanted to make sure I had the basics correct.

Thanks![/img]

Looks nice. I would prefer a bit more height on the top bun. Are you using any type of a cage for the top bun? I have have a frame I made out of wire mesh, covered with felt and then sewed the top braids on. It makes it easy and fast to do the hair.

I agree with Beth, a little more height--maybe thickness--is needed. But looks great!

I wrapped my long braid in very fine tulle/hair net material and it helps keep the flyaways at bay.

It is looking good. Very Happy If you can get it higher up, do, but if not, then don't worry. It's very hard getting your base that high up especially if you have long heavy hair yourself.
I'd suggest also braiding your base hair that you wrap the rest around, just so it is all braided.

Thank you all so much for the feedback. Smile

I agree, I see the point about more height. I'll try making another braid and adding that in. As far as braiding the base, I ran across this image:

...so I was trying to leave my natural hair unbraided, to form the middle bun part around which the braids wrap. But you guys are spot on noting the height difference. i only had two levels of braid, she has three.

Thanks again!
