Aside from making your own, where can one find Hoth Snow Boots ready to buy? I've hunted and found 2 places.

    * JDOS Producciones ($?) Although there seem to be some high and dry customers
    * MotorCowboy ($643)

Anywhere else?

When you say 'snow boots', do you mean for a snow trooper or for the hoth boots that Luke wore in the snowspeeder for example? Similar to this...(which could be used as a base...but would need coverings, a lot more work and a big pay rise).

Hmm thanks. But those all look like they'd need heavy modifications.

I meant hoth boots like Luke wore in the Snowspeeder and similiar to the Bespin boots.

Motorcowboy makes the actual boots that need no modifcations but they're über expensive at almost $700!

I need to find that for like... $250-$300'ish (max.)

within this forum is a description ...somewhere...it was likely either Phyliss or TkVanB ...I think....of how they modified boots to match this.

one of my goals tomorrow is to go out and hit the shoe stores and see if they have like an UGG boot or similar and try to modifty that with the upper.

ive made boots in the past, by covering a tennis shoe, so Im not past doing that as well.

this was my first. I have remade it since then.....ATAT driver moon boot to fit my big feet.

i just had a text conversation with Madighon, one of our potential recruits.

he has purchased a used pair of tan hush puppies to modiffy with leather uppers to make his boots with.

new hush puppies bridgeports go for 100 and up, but he found these used on the 'bay for 40.

If you have the time and you can purchase suede fabric here are some pictures of how I made my boots. I made the seams with a shoemaker, the rest is united with contact cement.

JDOS Producciones is about the best you'll find, that's my experience from outsourcing vs. making your own. They run in the mid 300s which is pretty good for a custom boot. Long wait time. Motor Cowboy's bespin/hoth boots are too expensive and missing some important details.

for myself, i think Ill get the hush puppies and suede and work on making my own.

I do wish I had the special heavy duty sewing machine to sew the upper to the hush puppie shoe, but Ill figure it out.
