I thought I posted the image before. Rarely wear it because I'm still figuring out how to wrap it around my metal bikini.

Trust me, it's really wide.

The new Star Wars OT costume book that just came out has a nice photo with it wrapped on a mannequin, with the goggles.

Sorry for taking so long in getting to this.

The size and shape look really good, as do the colors, but you are going to need to finish the edges on your stripes somehow, so they don't fray. Even from this distance, they look a bit messy.

There are a couple ways of doing this. If what you have there is alternating strips of brown and cream, I suggest a flat felled seam.

If what you have is cream stripes sewn on top of a huge brown rectangle, you will need to turn under the edges of the cream stripes, like a hem, and sew on top of the cleanly folded edge.

In both cases, you will want to give it a good crisp ironing job so the fabrics meld together smoothly.

I still have to cut those frayed seams. I thought about ripping them off, doing a serger seam on each stripe and sew them again.
