Thanks Ladies! So here is a list of changes I need to make:
1. New, larger goggles

In looking at the pictures, yours look more like Han's, as his are different and appear smaller in the pics you posted. I will investigate further, but if they are a good match to Han's I may be interested in taking them of your hands and starting Sandstorm Han.

Leia's almost look like full safety goggles painted black with stuff stuck on them.

For the goggles, remember the OT used a lot of WWII and post-era vintage stuff.

Starwarsdave is right, safety or possibly the cheap welding goggles (the ones with the green sides) would work well as a base for those. Tint the lens and wrap the outside part with leather or rubber (maybe some craft foam as a substitute), rectangular shape in the middle looks to have a T shape raised on it. Those action figure blasters might still work for the left side and there's a greeblie over the right eye that's very hard to make out. Almost looks like a smaller version of the top rangefinder piece on a Boba helmet.

You could mod the outside of those goggles you have but safety goggles are like $2 and I wouldn't mess up perfectly good goggles. They could always come in handy for a different project.

There's a sandstorm-themed print at Celebration:

Did anyone where Sandstorm Leia at Celebration? I debuted my Luke version and was looking for one to take a photo with.

Wonderful reference images!

After seeing the action figures at just about every booth at C7, I realized this is the Leia costume I'd like to do. I love ROTJ, I love that Leia killed Jabba, I live in a desert area, and no way I have the confidence to walk around in just a bikini, so.... I will be watching your progress and if I happen to find any good fabrics I'll be happy to share!
