Looks great! The only thing I see missing is that groove on the side, which I'm fairly sure continues all the way around the top of the box. Can't wait to see your print! Smile

Ive started a new thread, to avoid the continued hi-jack of your post (sorry), now that I have 'finished' my model and print.

Yes, I am really willing to unfold this 3d model in pepakura. No special files are need, pepakura designer can work with following:

Metasequoia (mqo)
(Recommended: Highest compatibility, Free version, MetasequoiaLE R3.0, is available.)
Wavefront (obj)
AutoCAD 3D (dxf)
3DS Max (3ds)
Lightwave (lwo)
Binary/ASCII STL (stl)
Google Earth4 (kml, kmz)
Collada (dae)

( the best ones could be .3ds or .stl )

In which format you have this file available? Smile

Any news bh1138 ? Smile

I would love to be able to 3d print this. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at designing the files Sad.

I'd also love to see an STL file of this. That would save soooo much effort for our pilots!

Hey folks, sorry to just drop off the map like that. Last semester got really busy really fast, and it never really let up. I happened to remember this project the other day, and I went ahead and made a couple more design tweaks to match the most recent reference as best I could. I've gone ahead and thrown the STL files up on Thingiverse, along with a couple other little prop projects I've modeled if anyone is still interested in using it.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1291409

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1291417

I don't own my own printer, so for me the modeling is usually where it starts and ends. As such, I don't know how well my designs will print and what might make the process better or the end result cleaner. If anyone has suggestions or requests to make these more accurate or more conducive to printing or pep unfolds, please let me know and I'll go ahead and make the necessary changes. Hope somebody finds these useful! Very Happy
