11-12" is fine. (Perfect is 13", but you're smaller). And that type of stitching is fine, I was referring to stitching across the leg and foot. Very Happy

I got mine from http://www.eastmeetswestmilitaria.com/German-Military-Unissued-Enlisted-Combat-Boots_p_59.html

I take a US women's 10-12 depending on the width (10W, 11M), usually a men's 9.5 works. Following the sizing instructions on that their website, I got the German Military Unissued Enlisted Combat Boots size DDR28/US9. It's a bit of a squeeze getting into them, but once they're on, they fit very comfortably!

Either find a suitable pair of Jack boots or get these:

You will need to cut off the strap that's around the ankle.

(Just an FYI: Jack boots, usually being made in Europe are typically on the narrow side. You may not be able to find any that fit right if you have wide feet.)

What about the top strap? That would be okay to leave?

As long as they're covered by blousing the legs of the coveralls over them, yes.

As I'm fat and have wide calves I just went with the engineer boots. Those same exact ones someone posted actually. Good boots. Wear them for everything including when I ride my motorcycle Smile

Could you possibly post a link to these? I have extremely wide calves as well. I know that triangular inserts can be added to the tops of boots to enlarge the calf. Since pilots would be blousing their legs out, that may be a good option as well.
