Ok, this thread is to help those who want to take thier Han ANH vest to the next lvl. This may come off as anal or too picky, but it is ment to aid those who are just not sure on the details of the vest itself, or just want thier costume to be Ubber movie accurate. Under each picture I will try and explain the picture as best as I can.

I adjusted the lighting on the pics a bit to get better images for the purpose of this thread.

Hope you get some use out of this.

Above pic shows how the flap to the bottom right pocket appears to be tacked down…I am still looking for pics the disprove this, but have not found anything yet. I think they tacked/ or stitched the main flap down to help the pocket stay put and does not allow the pocket to open. Also make note how all the pockets appear to not be tacked down on the sides and bottom of the pockets. Like the ROTJ vest, the pockets are made this way to allow for a more comfortable fit when used…. Opening up like a mini accordion or “Billow”. Otherwise it will lay flat when not used. Tips: use an iron to keep these pockets crisp after a few troops.

Original... lighting was adjusted to get details

In this picture you can see the small pocket over the crescent moon really well. The crescent moon itself can also be seen. The lower right pocket shows not only the billowed style pocket.. it also shows the flap that has come out from under the main flap.

Original... lighting was adjusted to get details

In this pic you can see the billow at the bottom of the pocket on the crescent moon pocket, and also on the pocket bellow that.

Another picture that shows a portion of the moon pocket and the small pocket that is on top as well. Make note of the space between the small pocket and the moon pocket… they do not share the same seam.

This pic shows the yoke both left and right sides of the vest….it does appear that the yoke and the crescent moon pocket do not share the same seam. The yoke could be attached before or after the pocket is added by the looks of it..

Original... lighting was adjusted to get details

Great shot of the Crescent moon shaped pocket.. this is where Han stuffs his pilot gloves in when not being used.

Original... lighting was adjusted to get details

There not a lot of pics showing the whole small pocket… as you can see… this is pretty close to seeing the whole pocket. Notice the billow on the bottom the crescent moon pocket… can also be seen a little when gloves are in pocket.

Original... lighting was adjusted to get details

This picture shows all 4 channeled loops.. notice how they are all separately attached to the vest. The channels are placed just under the yoke… again I do not believe they share the same seam… however they are flush. The large back pocket is billowed on the sides… yet unlike the other pockets on the vest.. the pocket appears to be stitched down at the bottom of the pocket.

May be more pics to come, not sure what I need to add yet at this time.

This is a great help! I've been putting off this vest for my brother because I wasn't sure how to do the pockets. Now I think I have a pretty good idea what I'll do for them. THANK YOU for the good pictures!
