Hey guys,

I recently acquired a resin dc15 kit for my GM. I'm nervous about it breaking, any suggestions on how to strengthen it?

Pics would help!

I ran with a resin DC for the first couple of years, and it was fine. It chipped on the edges from time to time, but no real damage beyond simple touch ups.

If you're talking between parts, you can always drill and add an aluminum rod for strength between two parts.

If it's resin, just don't throw it on the ground or whack people with it. Your bucket will be resin, so you should just be reasonably careful with both.

I have resin DC-17's

What I find is that the resin will chip and the paint will scratch.

When this happens, I usually get some silver paint and put some wear marks where the chips are.

If you can get oil based, that is bes(less prone to scratching). Oil based requires paint thinner or be prepared to throw away your tools. DO NOT TRY TO USE WATER.

Acrylic paint works just as well; it is more prone to scratching.

I have seen some do it with a sharpie or a paint pen. I find that these tend to be too uniform.
