I'll take more in depth photos for other peoples references of the individual components but for now:

Got some painting done over the last week. Weather be damned, and my apartment smelt of spray paint for the last bit but I got it done!

So for your judgement and reference:

Left side:

Right side:

And lower section:

This last photo also illustrates the concern I had about the boot color. The color doesn't match and the boots look like they need to be quite a few shades lighter (and a little less blue) Will this have an effect on it's approval status? is okay to leave it, or should I repaint them now to be safe?

Amazing job! That is a difficult paint job and you nailed it! Way to go!

You may be right about the shoes. They do look dark. I think if you could blend it with weathering, then you might be good to go, but if you can hit the shoes with a lighter color, that might be best.

So if I ever do a Wolffe, can I head to your place to painting help? You did great. That is one of the things that always scared me about doing that paint job -- way too much OCD for me to try.

Yeah I'll hit it with some lighter color and see if that helps thanks!

Also yeah you're welcome to message me (assuming I get approved) I can take more pictures so you can get a good reference.

Okay, so painted the helmet today and I wish I would have taken a little more time.

So to explain what you're about to see.
I didn't think the process out too well and instead of laying a base coat and only having to mask off once. The pattern was sketched onto the helmet itself before the base coat and I ended up having to mask twice. once per color.
Now that of course led to some problems.
1: some slight changes in the lines between masking and remasking
2: tons of tape
3: a really sore neck from looking down and masking for what was essentially two days of work.

However the general shape turned out pretty well in my opinion but because I was impatient and didn't double check to see if all the tape was actually sticking some over spray happened. More than I would have liked so I'll be going in by hand and correcting each little troubled area.

So v.1 on paint looks like so:

Got some more work done.
Did a first pass on weathering, gonna do a quick second spot pass to get some of the lighter areas. and make them all a bit more uniform.

Also corrected all the lines on my helmet, which I'll upload with the first test fit and my submission photos.
But for now here's what I have

All of it will be reassembled and ready for action.
Most of the weathering was done with a combo of acrylic paint for most areas, and some spray paint for light spots.
To get a more dust in effect I used some crushed up charcoal sticks to lay in layers of dust into some spots the most apparent of which is the comm pad on the forearms. The effect is subtle but it'll build up once I go through a second spot pass.

Made a little progress installing antennae and painting the details and installing the visor.
gonna start weathering the helmet tonight but with how busy this last week has been it's been tough to get any armor time in.

some minor adjustments need to be made but overall it's taking shape.

Okay so did a quick pass on weather:

My phones camera doesn't pick up the weather very well, but I do need to go just a tad heavier on it in a couple of spots (forgot to get a picture of the back)

But overall it matches the level and kind of weathering that is on the armor.

Looking great Trooper!

I do recommend going heavier on the weathering all the way around. The animated Clones look "painted" with a lot of smudging and the like. there should not be a lot of solid color blocks here.

I hit it again with a quick second pass, and it's looking closer, I need to get a better camera to show it however my phone keeps washing out all the greys for some reason.

Just some quick examples of the weathering I've done, my submission photos washed out all the weathering so I'm posting them here just in case.
