I'm asking for my friend who is just starting to put together a Han Solo outfit.

Would this holster be ok?

https://www.etsy.com/listing/115727776/star-wars-han-solo-replica-belt-and?ref=shop_review

If it's ok, I'm concerned that it's probably going to be too big. She's pretty small, and her waist size is smaller than the Medium size, which is the smallest available size.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Stay away from that holster. My first just for fun Solo costume had a version of that holster and the quality is not great as well as inaccurate. Also I noticed in your post you are making this for a female friend. If she has a small waist this will be way too big and will require a lot of modification.

Here is a link to what I believe is the minimal approvable holster, perhaps a judge can confirm Smile

However if you can and are willing, I would recommend making the holster from scratch. The biggest benefit is you will get a better fit and if your friend has a smaller waist like I do, you will need to adjust the spacing of the items on the belt to accommodate the smaller waist so things look correct. There are a lot of great tutorials on the forums and if you decide to go this route I'm sure some of us can point you in the right direction.

Well, I've been on the fence about a new rig becuase my last one broke (it was a cheap Costumebase one that I modded).

I took the plunge and purchased a Todd's Costumes ANH belt/holster rig. I've heard a lot of great things about them so now hopefully I can costume as Han again...

If you decide to make the holster yourself from scratch, I would highly recommend reading through ladysolo14's tutorial Smile Smile

Well, I just got the Todd's ANH holster and it is amazing! Feels nice and solid, great work, nice hardware. This thing is well worth it if you can't make one yourself.
