Is anybody modifying the GORKA?
The GORKA that is seen in the movie (or at least on the TOPPS card) has a zipper collar (not buttons) and the darker brown that is on the shoulder comes all the way to the neck opening.

I've got the GORKA-4 and have removed the shoulder pockets, fixed the "kangaroo pocket," and bleached out some of the color already.

Just wondering what everybody's opinion is on the other "corrections."

Madw3lshman; loving that blaster! Great work.

Without a written standard, it seems we've accepted the Gorka4 as an agreed variation from full screen accuracy. Apart from the shoulder pockets going (easily unpicked) and the button neck being different, what are the summary changes? Maybe there are variations by manufacturer, as mine is from BARS and isn't exactly as per the pic.

I bleached the colours on mine by airbrushing tan acrylic in a mist then heavier in places. I didn't want to overdo it so it's easy to add more in future.

From the "TOPPS Guy," the sleeve pockets, zipper collar, and the brown coming all the way across the upper torso to the opening are the biggest. It almost looks like they took the upper torso from a GORKA-3 and put it on the pull-over GORKA-4. Mine is BARS as well.

The kangaroo pocket flap appears to be tucked into the pocket so no flap shows... Easily modded. (I put Velcro on the inside so I still have use of the pocket... you could easily just sew is shut if you wanted to.)

I bleached the entire jacket in the bathtub. The green color of the main body came out easily turning the jacket the color of PAO's. But, the brown stayed pretty dark so I'll probably have to do a wash of some kind on it.

Thanks, it's tough walking that fine line when it comes to weathering. I usually like a heavy weathered look but thought I'd try the less things s more approach.

I definitely agree I love heavy weathered props/costumes. But the less is more is a nice alternative to heavy weathering.

I went that route also and I like the minimal but visible weathering.
