I've only got the arms and stilts left to tie hair on... and finish putting the mask together.... but I'm so stressed Chewie won't be ready....

I've been working on him off and on since Gamer-Con last year and every day I've had off for the last 3 months... But I just couldn't sit down to work on him this weekend.... and now I'm stressed....

Is this normal? ....

Yep!
There's always some big con or event that sets the deadline to get something like that finished.
I promised my brother that I would help him build a droid to take to Celebration Orlando. That didn't happen.
(I live here and he lives in Orlando.) The entire time I was in Florida, I was putting in long days working on the droid,
except for the days I was at Celebration. I even stayed a few days longer than planned to get it mostly finished.

This is what it looked like 5 days after the con just before I left for the airport.

My brother is a retired Firefighter / Paramedic, and he wanted to paint it the same colors as a Fire Engine.
It's mostly operational at this point. It still needs a few of the detail pieces mounted on it (mostly leg parts),
and some maintenance and fine tuning to get things working more smoothly.

Dont fret, there is always TCC. It takes most Chewies over a year to finish so you are doing very well in the overall scheme of things

1 arm left and my mask..... There are some changes i need to fix after Comic-con before I submit for approval. I've been working very close with one of the Chewbacca judges and She has been simply amazing.

But for being my very first project ever and starting this after being a spectator at a con and basically being dared by 4 Mandos that i couldn't take on a huge project as my first.... Yeah... LOL

About 50 more hours of tying left and Chewbacca 1.0 will be there... Then upgrades for final approval
