Please excuse me if this isn't the right place for this.

I am not a costume person, but I got inspired to build a Rebel Fleet Trooper to accompany my son with his costume.

I found and acquired this helmet, which is simply phenomenal.

The antenna seems to be a plastic piece which is attached to the comm box. I was considering taking it a apart and finding a piece of metallic antenna to put in its place, but I am unsure how this would be affixed.

I gather from the costume standards that many see this as an optional item - in my mind, you gotta have the antenna! Very Happy

I am wondering if it wouldn't make more sense to try painting the metallic with a high-quality chrome-type paint?

I and few others of Ireland Base cut a length of wire coat hanger, sanded off the end so it wasn't sharp and used that.

...and I guess one can sand or paint the coat hanger to give it a more silvery metallic appearance if it isn't already that color. What a simple solution. Thank you!
