So finding time for this has proved difficult lately so slow progress. Started to straighten, cut and mix the hair. I'm using kanekalon 27 and 8 at a ratio of 2:1. Whilst I'm not doing Chewie now, I wanted to keep a similar base colour as I'm getting the evilchimp mask.

To start I used hair straighteners on low....there was a bit of hair loss but not too bad. However when I ran it thru the hackle I lost tons Sad so I'm mixing by hand.

More problems when I opened the next pack of braids and tried to straighten them.....somw of it melted. It was clear that there was a slightly different fibre mixed in to give it the strawberry blonde tint. So next I tried the hairdryer method and wow impressive. A few minutes on high heat and low speed and came out great.

The straighter batches in the above photo were done with a hairdryer.

Next question. What do you think of the mix as it is? Shall I keep mixing or would it look cool as it is?

Oh and I have also ordered some toes from Ryan Ricks.

Often times, straightening hair is unnecessary. I buy a specific brand that doesn't need it Smile As far as the blend, I think it's lovely!

Thank you.

You previously asked about the stilt bump solution....so here's what I have. I need longer straps to secure it though.

Steve, question for you.I have Dougie mask on the way as well.Am ordering the hair in the same style and ratios as yourself. Can you tell me how many of each bunches you ordered to give me a roundabout figure for my own build. Thanks

This is what we did yesterday. I've made the waistband bigger to get over the stilts. I've used padding to hide the stilts bump. How does it look?

It's a little too dark to tell. I used a waste basket and rivits to hide my bump.

Ok now I've found a way to upload photos post photobucket....here is a progress report. I'm now spending a couple of hours every evening latch hooking. I also try to fit as many hours in as I can over weekends. This is about 30+hrs.
