Thank you for taking the time to create this awesome write up. Very helpful!
Is anyone currently offering the paddles for sale?
I see there were runs for the complete harness, but it does not seem to be continuing. |

First off, thank you so much for taking the time to write and post this tutorial!!
I wanted to provide some supplementary information for the webbing. The below image shows both the Nylon (top) and Polypropylene (bottom) from Strapworks painted with the same Rustoleum primer used in the guide.
I provided some closeups because it was still hard to tell the weave on Strapworks website and figured others may be curious as well. I ended up using the Polypropylene as I personally thought the weave was a closer match to the main belt.

That's good info, im getting ready to order up my strapping.
Is there a reason you didnt go with the polyester linked to in the guide? I see the polypro is less expensive. |

It had even less pictures available and I didn't want to order 3 sets of webbing. |

Just a heads up to anyone ordering the parts for this. I had a really bad experience with the belt seller Shadow linked to. They sent the wrong belts, wouldn't respond and it took me weeks to get a refund through ebay. Ive now ordered replacement belts from another seller and am waiting for them to come in. These are the replacements i ordered:

I think the original seller sent the wrong ones because they were out of the correct item. |

Is anyone making belts? The only sale thread here so far has turned into a months of waiting with no contact. _________________ Kessel Base, Louisiana State Captain 2007-2009

Just wanted to offer a big thanks to shadow for this great tutorial! Very precise and easy-to-follow instructions. Mine came out great! I ended up cutting the paddles myself with tin snips out of sheet metal, and finishing with a drill and dremel.

Quick question - is there anything that's supposed to keep the two paddle/strap pieces affixed to the belt itself, or are they meant to slide back and forth?[/img] |

My paddle loops aren't fixed to my belt, they move around. When I'm wearing the harness the pressure of the belt keeps things relatively in place but I can manually adjust them. _________________

Hmmm, I tested in several browsers and in and out of privacy mode to take cookies out of the equation and in all cases I was able to access the entire album.
Maybe give it another go, they are definitely still accessible directly via the photobucket site.
I will re-host them sometime but I don't have a solid ETA, been busy with a lot of other hobby things and I'd guess it might be a while before I circle back. _________________
