Hello! I feel like it's been a million years since I posted anything in the RL forums and I've been a member since 2002 lol

I just "adopted" an Ahsoka costume from a friend and am working on a few things she didn't have, to finish it up. I bought boots online that look great, but will need to be a lighter color. I'm about to make the shin guards soon too. Would the toes be square enough? It's not easy to find boots like that in a size 10 for a reasonable price.

There doesn't seem to be a list of requirements for this costume, since I think it was only in the one episode and done as an action figure. I wanted to throw up some pictures to get opinions on things before I get too far.

The body suit she gave me is a stretch velvet in a nice burgundy color, and fits like a dream. I'd really rather avoid making a new body suit if this one can work.

One thing I was wondering, is that my friend is shorter than me, so the arm pieces might be too short for approval? I have abnormally long arms and legs and am 5'7", I think she was 5'4". When it's all on, the arms look okay to me, and I can easily move my arms without restriction. Would these need to be remade as well?

I wanted this costume to be my fun, 15th Anniversary of the RL, costume Amadalia I've always wanted to be Ahsoka, and this just happened at the right timing Very Happy

EDIT: All references and build progress photos can be found on my site here - https://imageevent.com/benaequee/costumes/completed/starwarscostumes/ahsokacargoofdoom

I worked on the boot pieces today Very Happy Don't mind the photos, they are sitting high on the boot at the moment since it's clipped on for now. Once I get Velcro, it will sit where it should.

I made a "mold" of my leg (while wearing the boots) by wrapping it in plastic and then lots of tape. I drew on my design and cut it off carefully. I used it as a template to create a pattern from. I used a marine vinyl in a burgundy color that I already had on hand. It's two layers so that the white knit backing of the vinyl will never show. I then dry brushed it to give it a worn and weathered look.

I'd LOVE to make these from a thicker leather one day to better match the gauntlets I already have.

I added the crease in the front as well. It's hard to see in this photo though.

Nice start. Smile I think the boots should work fine.
And you're right; this one doesn't have any standard, at least not at the moment. For all things that stays the same as with her usual costume, just use that standard. For the rest... well, add lots of references and add them to this topic, too. That way people will be able to do comparisons and thus help you the best.

I've gotten a lot more progress on this since the first post Smile The boots were cut down and painted, the spats were stripped and repainted a better color, buckles were made and attached, and makeup was tested. I'm just waiting for the epoxy to cure on my clone belt and it will be ready!

LOTS OF IMAGES!

No matter how many times I play it in slow motion and screen capture it, her lightsaber is just HOVERING by her belt! You can see the knob that would clip it to a belt, just hovering there Shocked There is no D-Ring clip visible or anything *sigh*
Her suit also seems to change hues and textures depending on the lighting.

This is a decent reference of her entire costume.

Here's an action figure with the darker red body suit vs the purple color.

My boots in florescent lighting and sunlight

My makeup test. I forgot to put on my eyelashes for this, and I need to play with my sculpting wax for the eyebrows a bit more to hide them better.

Ah, the fun of translating from animation to real life. Razz It's some sort of red-purple color, but it does change around.

And it's done and submitted Very Happy I chose the worst day to take photos LOL It was 90+ degrees and super humid in full sun and my makeup was not liking it after only 10 minutes outside.
