Hello,

I am new to the RL and my friends and I are looking to create some rebel pilots. I know X-wings are really popular but we thought we would try something different.

Does anyone know where I can find accurate flak vests for A-wing, B-wing, and Y-wing pilots? Does anyone make them?

They look like they have some similar elements, but I see they are different in the RL costume standards.

Any help would be really a big help.

There's no known supplier for these. Everyone approved so far has basically made them themselves. I went to a tailor and gave him reference shots from the Arlinger book to make mine, for example.

Maybe I have missed it, but are there any tutorials for the flak vests?

Yeah, no tutorials for the other pilots yet. I can give some tips on the B-wing pilot and I've been meaning to put up a guide or pattern but I haven't yet.

FYI, the most accurate material for the B-wing pilot flak vest is a fireproof safety blanket/disaster relief blanket, a light or medium gray color with fiber specks of various other colors. I think that the A-wing pilot flak vest is the same material, except for the white bib, but I can't swear to that.

The Wampa Wear suit, from what I remember, is an Imperial technician suit so it wont have the correct pockets, collar and so on. The A-wing, B-wing and Y-wing suits are almost completely different from the X-wing pilot suits.
