I've started to build the EL-16 / EL-16 HFE rifle. I'm going to make it screen accurate and offer with options of unpainted, or painted/finished. It will be lightweight and cast in a hard urethane plastic resin.
I was wondering who would be interested so I can calculate cost of materials to do a run.
The more interest, the lower the prices!

New plan.
Got a 3d printer...bought a EL16 file....will modify it for accuratness (which won't be much- it's really close as-is).

Should be ready to produce in 2 or 3 weeks.

Kinda excited

ok this may be stupid, but some of the parts take up to 20 hours to print.
so i cant sit next to the printer the whole time, so what i did is open a webcam chatroom on paltalk (its free) and leave i on all the time so i can login anytime from anywhere to see the progress and make sure its printing correctly.

If you are bored out of your mind and have nothing else to do, you can join the chat room named "3D print factory" and watch the progress of EL16 being made live!

Cool

Got it printed and assembled. Still have a lot of puttying/epoxying/sanding/painting to do.
