A couple questions about this costume, since I'm starting to gather the materials necessary for it. What boots do you recommend getting as the base for the boots for the costume? I've been looking for cheap brown boots but nothing so far has worked.

When will we be allowed to start trooping with this costume too? Just at the Last Jedi premiere and afterwards, or can we start using it before?

Making your own seems to be the only work around at this time. I bought some cheap ones on Amazon and modified em. They were some knee high boots and I cut em up
Was a very quick process to! I sewed straps for the leather to weave through

Thank you! Very Happy Your boots look fantastic, as does your entire costume. Thank you for providing so many awesome reference pictures.

Question on the Pozu Rey boots, as the 'standard' currently stands here on this forum the Pozu boots would not be legion approved. As they feature five hooks for the laces not four. I know what's on this forum is not the actual standard but i'm just asking for some thoughts on whether to buy them or make them. Could an exception be made for the Pozu boots, considering how cool they look?

-Note that Pozu has sold out of the boots currently but they're scheduled to release early November hopefully in time to get some Rey's approved for the last jedi release Wink

Honestly? Don't know. We don't know why they made those changes to the boots, but I do find it strange. And unlike the TFA Rey boots, these have been modified quite a bit from the movie boots.
They are clearly not aimed at the costumer marked, but the general sw fan.

I'm actually highly interested in this as well. I'm unable to see any of the images I think are posted in this forum, so I'm also trying to figure out where there are sources that show that she only has 4 loops on the boots? Does anyone have links to photos? In every image I see online as well as highly detailed figures of her, there are 5 just like the Po-Zu boots. ex:

http://news.toyark.com/2017/10/13/star-wars-last-jedi-rey-jedi-training-outfit-hot-toys-275013

So I guess I'm just confused what is significantly different about the Po-Zu boots?

I'm also interested in where there are photos of the yolk in the back? That's something I haven't come across any images showing that line for the yolk in the back. Any links you can send of photos will be highly appreciated as I'm also making this costume!

Thanks!

Is this any closer to being live? I’m not buying Pozu boots because they won’t fit my calves. I’ve found a great alternative that I can mod fairly easily, that has maybe a 1.5” heel, is that going to work? Or no go? Obviously don’t want to take the trouble if it won’t work... thanks!
