I'm looking to work on an episode 2 Naboo pilot for my wife. I have seen pictures of a brilliant helmet by a gentleman using the name of a famous giant lizard.
Anyone have his information so I can contact him?
Thanks.

Well, I decided to start a new helmet myself.
I think, in lieu of working on the N2 helmet and facemask, we're going with the original helmet to wear with the later costume in Clone Wars style.
Sure we have the terrible mass market version of the helmet, but it would look a whole lot nicer to have a prop quality lid. Luckily, the impossible to find headphones made their way to Amazon so I picked them up.
My plan is to use real leather instead of painting the brown and metal detailing on the edges similar to what Godzilla has done in the past. As far as the ear cup detailing and the insets on the helmet sides, I'll mold those from sheet styrene and perhaps beg Blasterpro to let me use his tools to vacuform them. Otherwise, here it goes!
Here's parts wise what we have so far:

Sounds promising. If you were able to make some casts of the helmet I'm sure you'd get some interested buyers, I know people here have been wanting a decent Naboo pilot helmet for years. Me included. _________________ B-wing Pilot - Jedi - Resistance X-wing Pilot - Temmin "Snap" Wexley

There's pretty much no difference between the Maverick and the Maverick 2, so you should be good on that one. |

Cool. Thanks. What are you using for the decorative trim on your helmet?

not sure yet. I was going to scour Joann's and Michael's to see if something works, but I have a feeling it will be a furniture decorative trim. |

I am looking at doing a Captain Typho with the full shield helmet and S-5 blaster, which both of those items are optional. Would Pleather be fine if I get it commission you think? I feel like the costume is easy its just the helmet/weapon and boots. _________________ -Where are those Droidekas!?!? |

The helmet is a hard piece, made of plastic, it's not soft. _________________ B-wing Pilot - Jedi - Resistance X-wing Pilot - Temmin "Snap" Wexley

Oh, for the costume parts. Yeah, pleather is fine. As long as it looks close enough to what's seen on-screen pleather would be just fine. _________________ B-wing Pilot - Jedi - Resistance X-wing Pilot - Temmin "Snap" Wexley
