Comments: The Ocean City Comic Con is a first year event to be held in Ocean City MD, and will be the very first pop culture event held in the area. The convention's focus will be on creators, comics themselves, and cosplay/costuming, with a some anime and gaming thrown into the mix as well. Our mission is to create an event that is affordable and fun for all, at a very small price at the door all while serving our community (part of the proceeds will benefit The Hero Initiative, and Diakonia Inc.), and helping to bolster fandom on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Some things that may be of interest: The hotel is offering very inexpensive rooms to those involved in the con:

$69.00 Partial Ocean View Guest Room per night*

Also, I can provide a changing area that is rather spacious to costuming groups.

Just got this last night. We’ll be only getting two badges, so if someone needs me to pay for theirs (they’re only $5 each) please PM me by Thursday night and I’ll make arrangements.
Hello all!
We are just under a week out from Ocean City Comic Con, and we're in the final stretch. I just wanted to give everyone some info on setup, parking, etc.
Setup:
-Setup time starts at 7am, and should be completed by 9:50am. Doors open at 10am.
-There is a large covered area in front of the main doors to the hotel that you can pull up to to unload. We ask that you unload and move your vehicle from there as quickly as possible so we can give everyone a chance to get unloaded. There will be volunteers out front helping to direct exhibitors and getting everyone checked in.
-There is a large parking structure just steps from the hotel where you can park for free.
-The main ballroom is on the fourth floor. There is a bank of four elevators to get everyone up there. Again, volunteers will be assisting you in getting to your table.
-Those of you who requested electric, please remember to bring your extension cords, power strips, duct tape (for alleviating trip hazards), etc., as they will not be provided.
-Each 6' table comes with two chairs, if you need more that can be arranged.
-Each table comes with two badges, if you need more than that they are available at $5 each. Just let the staff know as you check in and they will get you taken care of.
-Breakdown is at 5pm.

Finally, I just want to thank you all for going on this adventure with us. Ocean City and the Eastern Shore have been painfully lacking any sort of event like this, and I'm very excited that you have chosen to help us bring it to the area. The response we are getting is enormous for a first year event, and I am confident that it will be a great day all around.
